How does it work?

Standby Generators run on propane or natural gas. The standby generators have an insulated, weather-proof housing, which keeps helps block some of the sound of the generator running.

When the power shuts down, due to an outage, the generator automatically starts. When it starts, it signals for the automatic transfer to disconnect from the power company utility lines and connect to the power from the generator. Whenever the power outage is resolved, the generator shuts itself down and reconnects power to the utility lines
